Economic impact study
Social, Economic and Fiscal Impacts of North Bullfrog Mine Operations on Beatty, Nye County, and the State of Nevada
This study, prepared by a team of experts from the University of Nevada’s College of Agriculture Biotechnology & Natural Resources, encompasses data regarding the economic effects of the proposed project across various stages, including construction and continuous operations; however, the most significant impacts pertain to the ongoing operations. These impacts are important because of their long-term nature, extending throughout the operational period of the proposed project.
The North Bullfrog Mine’s development and operation should bring significant long-term economic benefits to Beatty, Nye County, and Nevada. This proposed development can deliver the growth and stability to help Beatty thrive.
The UNR researchers’ study found the North Bullfrog Project could generate:

Driving economic growth and opportunity
Through our planning for the proposed North Bullfrog Project, we are actively investing in the Beatty Mining District to stimulate economic growth and support the prosperity of both local and regional economies. The project is expected to create hundreds of well-paying jobs, both directly and indirectly, driving long-term economic opportunities for the community.
To evaluate the potential economic and social benefits, we work with economic analysts who take a comprehensive approach to understanding the overall impacts of the construction and operation associated with the mine. The economic and social impacts are evaluated for jobs, wages, support of local business activities, and procurement of goods and services in Nye County, Nevada, and an aggregation of all other counties in the state.
